January 2014 Meeting of CVGA Postponed to Jan. 18th

Unfortunately the Family History Center sustained some heavy water damage earlier this week when pipes burst and caused flooding that affected a large area of the church. Thus, the CVGA meeting must be postponed until next Saturday, January 18th. The area will hopefully be available for use by then.

Thank you,
Susan Emert

August 2013 Field Trip to Richmond

Our August 2013 meeting will be a field trip to Richmond. We will have the opportunity to visit the Library of Virginia and the Museum of the Confederacy. Here are the particulars from the email sent out last week:

We need to be at the Library of Virginia for a tour at 9:00 am. Those who wish to car pool need to meet in the parking lot of the Rivanna Ridge Shopping Center closest to Sticks Restaurant. We will leave no later than 7:45 am to arrive at the Library at 9:00 am. The library is free except for parking and the charge for the museum is $15.00. There is no reservation for the museum so members can tour that on their own or with a group at a time they choose. (Note: Unless things have changed, parking is also free in the parking garage beneath the library, if you get your ticket validated while at the library.)

It is not too late to come if you wish. Just meet us in the Rivanna Ridge Shopping Center parking lot near Sticks Restaurant at 7:30 am Saturday or at the library at 9:00 am. If possible, please let me know if you have decided to come.
