Martin Davis, CVGA Member, Dies


Martin Davis, a longtime reference librarian at Alderman Library, died on Monday the 29th. He was active in CVGA for many years, and at one time was the coordinator of the Computer Interest Group of CVGA.

  1. Martin & his wife, Jane, were dedicated members of CVGA, as long as Martin’s health allowed him to be productive. In addition to being President one year he organized and directed the Computer Interest Group of CVGA for several years. Afterwards, Jenny Greenwood convened the meetings. Jane took pride in her position as Publicity Chair. National membership was strong and local attendance was, as well. I know that CVGA will join me in sending heartfelt condolences to Jane and all those who loved and respected Marty for his dedication to genealogical research.
